A Jenga food trend is happening on Instagram if you want to mess around with your lunch

If you want to look super on trend then forget everything your mum said about not playing with your food.

That’s because the latest Insta craze is about stacking your food up high like Jenga blocks.

Bloggers have been sharing snaps of impossibly high towers made out of fries, cookies, brownies, churros and more.

Instagrammers have had to get creative, plopping them up horizontally and vertically just as they would in the game, and sharing their proud constructions online using the hashtag #foodjenga.

Some opted for simpler towers using biscuits or pieces of tofu which are fairly easy to stack as they’re similar to Jenga pieces.

Chunky fries became the most popular choice of food for the game as users placed one large chip on top of the other. And they all managed to stay up.

Or perhaps they toppled right after the picture was taken.

Others went for more risky towers, using lobster or prawns or even Doritos.

One user decided to take it beyond just food and use their cups and plates to play the game.

Not everyone decided to use the same delicacies either. Some used strawberries and french bread, waffles and fish fingers, burgers and onion rings.

Don’t go and try to make Jenga pieces if you’re having a pasta lunch though, you might get a few looks from your colleagues.
